Ship Model Cora

Early 20th century 4 masted ship model hand crafted by a seasoned sailor and comes with its original painted cradle. The ship and base have a rich green and black color scheme and through the ages have taken on a deep patina. The ship is named Cora of  Boston painted on her stern and features a female figurehead at her bow.  Each yard has painstakingly been rigged , knotted and fastened by hand. Metal anchors and a wooden rudder are visible on the front and rear of the ship. On the deck, there are painted authentic hand built lifeboats, planks, wooden capstan, cabin, smoke stack, ladders and many other ornaments. The white accents of the rails and decking brings out the folk art nature of this vessel.
