Explorer's Georgian Block Compass
Early 19th century mahogany block travel compass, with blued steel needle, engraved N & S in gold lettering for clarity. Traditional paper sunburst dial divided into degrees, showing 32 cardinal and inter cardinal points. Nice clear glass crystal, set under a brass bezel, with a brass arm for locking the directional needle. This is a fully working compass. Measures 2 5/8" square.
